About me

Hi, I'm Duygu. I'm Kubilay's other half, a complementary member of the Two Psychologists group. Throughout my school life, I've been doing the profession I wanted in a place I didn't quite expect, and contrary to the reactions I usually get (how do you do it, isn't it difficult, etc.), I see it as a field where I can gain different experiences. Starting from a bit further back, after graduating from high school, I got accepted to Ankara University and moved to Ankara for my university education, and that 'grey' city took on meaning for me. I finished my Psychology degree, which I entered with great enthusiasm, by pursuing things that would improve me. I must have pursued it a lot during this period, because with the great support of my family, I had the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world. Sometimes alone, sometimes unplanned, with close friends, my life partner, my mother, my family...

After graduating, I worked as a psychologist in various places. I worked with children in daycare, teenagers, victims of violence, and perpetrators of violence... Each client has a different story, and I feel they add completely different dimensions to my work. Although I'm still relatively new to the field, looking back a few years, I smile when I think about the things I did with good intentions professionally but now wish I hadn't. I think this is the compassion I feel when I look back from my 'mature' self to my 'younger' self, and this feeling is truly enjoyable.

Basically, if you were to ask me what I enjoy doing most in life, my answer would be gaining experiences and traveling.

Doing the things you enjoy in life and sharing them. I think that's a great idea!
